My fiancee and I are in our 30s and have everything we need. We do need some help, however, paying for our honeymoon. Would it be rude to set up a registry for this and ask people to donate towards our honeymoon? Asked by Eve - Fri Feb 27 08:08:23 2009 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. On your 30's? Your should know that there is no polite way of pannhandling. It's rude and offensive. No matter how you sugar coat it, it's solicitation at its worse. People bring monetary gifts to weddings nowadays without having to ask. Do not become one of those tacky people begging for money and insulting their guests with crass, greedy, seedy money requests. It's sooo low class. Simply, do not set a registry. People will get the hint. When asked, informed then that you alredy have household stuff and that a contribution towards your honeymoon would be ideal. No need to embarrass yourself in front of everyone that you know. It's really not necesary as most guests give money anyway. Good luck Answered by Blunt - Fri Feb 27 08:39:26 2009 How do you replace deleted registry values? Q. I accidentally downloaded Malware, and when I deleted it from my system, I deleted the registry values that help me change my desktop background. Is there any way to replace those deleted values?? Thanks. The first answer is really good and detailed, but I've been looking for a CD-ROM for the last hour and I can't find it. So is there anything I can do without the CD? Asked by zzamama - Sun Jan 6 11:25:08 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments How can I edit the Registry to restrict my internet exploer to browse the Chinese websites?
Q. My son is addicted in surfing the Chinese webistes, which is bad for his study. I know if he had more will power or if I had another eye on him, Chinese websites would not be a problem. Unfortunately he was weak in controlling himself. He said he would not surf those websites if the explorer could not show the Chinese language. I agreed and tried to block the Chinese websites, but in vain. I am sure there is a way to do this by editting the registry. Who could kindly tell me how? Thanks! Asked by Zhanqiang - Thu Feb 1 02:29:26 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. You could deactivate Chinese language (font) support or deinstall the specific fonts for Your sons account / For this he must not have an Admin account - since he could reinstall them again as long as he has Admins privileges. p. s. You should IMHO also offer him an bonus/reward time with an account that has Chinese font support when he has good study marks/results. A language spoken & written by so many ppl is an asset/good thing to know - apart of the great cultural heritage. Blocking can be done via proxies - server like programs on Your PC or by adding IP lists to the hosts file - but You would have to find lists with Chinese IP blocks & numbers - IMHO not very practical for such a big group as Chinese web sites.
