Cady Noland: Obscene
Jordan Carter, curator and cohead of the curatorial department at Dia Art Foundation, New York, engages with the new artist’s book Cady Noland: Polaroids 1986–2024.
Gagosian is pleased to announce an exhibition of new work by Cady Noland at the gallery’s 555 West 24th Street location in New York, opening at 12pm on Wednesday, September 10.
A concurrent exhibition of work by Steven Parrino within the same location—staged at Noland’s invitation—places Parrino’s paintings and works on paper in conversation with Noland’s sculptures.
In conjunction with the opening of the exhibition, Gagosian is publishing Cady Noland: Polaroids 1986–2024. Devoted to the Polaroid photographs taken by Noland in the process of developing her sculptures and exhibitions over the past four decades, the 118-page volume is both a monograph and an artist’s book. Designed entirely by the artist, it provides unique insight into her sculptural practice. Cady Noland: Polaroids 1986–2024 is distributed by Rizzoli International, and is available for sale at the exhibition and via the gallery’s online shop.
